Using technology to assess learning and teaching effectively in online environments

In the module Using technology to assess learning and teaching effectively in online environments, we will explore what assessment is, its types and aims, both for learning and teaching, meaning we will explore in depth what assessment means and the experiences of assessment as a trainee and a trainer. Building on that knowledge we will focus on how to implement effective learning and teaching assessment in online environments; identify possible methodologies for effective online assessment of learning and teaching and how to adapt to trainees’ learning requirements and styles; and reflect on the challenges of online assessment and identify possible strategies to overcome them.

The module will finish with the importance of feedback and of using assessment for improvement with information on preparation and implementation of role-plays, with an analysis and debate of case studies and a summary of feedback good practices.
