Using technology to assess learning

The aim of the module, Using technology to assess learning, is to increase the knowledge of VET educators as well as businesses about how technology can be used to assess the learning of students. In this module, we aim to:

• Facilitate understanding amongst participants about the benefits and challenges of using technology to assess learning
• Practice digital assessment through the use of various tools
• Gain knowledge about the different methods of assessment that can be facilitated through the use of digital assessment

In this module of the Reliable Green course, we will explore the advantages and challenges of using digital assessment to evaluate course content and learning outcomes in the classroom. We will also examine how you can use technology to assess students and/or employees’ learning and introduce you to a range of digital tools that can support various types of assessment. You will have the opportunity to test out these tools and experiment with them through a range of activities set out at the end of the module.
